Not bad, but pretty lackluster. I thought they were picking up after Space, but then about two thirds of the way into Good Lovin' they slipped down again. Great harmonies on the beginning of that song and on Wharf Rat.

Some of my favorite versions of "Touch of Grey" (no joke), "BE Women" "Scarlet->Fire" and "The Other One." Best show of this particular year perhaps.

These shows were my last Dead shows, too. (I saw the last New Years' in Oakland, the Last Chinese New Years', and the last Mardi Gras.)

The person who posted before me put it in a way I'd never thought of before: Knockin' on Heaven's Door was the last song I ever heard Jerry sing Live. Wow.
This was a spectacular weekend of shows. We were sizzling in a frying pan this day- the birds were darting about in manic circles, swooping and diving to the beat of the music= it was truly a pheonomenon.

and Eugene was the friendliest, most accommodating city I'd ever had the pleasure of enjoying the Dead in. Whoever first recorded, and later transferred and uploaded this show did a fantastic job. Thanks for the stroll down memory land.

My five month old son gave me tickets to this Father's Day show. Cracker opened (set also available here in the LMA). As it turned out this would be the last time I saw the band, so the last thing I heard Jerry sing was Knockin' on Heaven's Door. This is easly one of the best shows I saw in my sixteen years of listening to the boys live. The recording is crisp and clean. Thank you to all who made it happen.

In reference to several of the previous reviews: Yes, indeed these were not only the last Eugene shows to allow Camping in the lot, they were also just simply the last Euguene shows ever. The Dead never played there in 1995. Another reviewer refers to a Dark Star at this show, which never occured. In fact there was no appearances of a Dark Star anywhere on the West Coast leg of 1994 summer tour. I wonder about the statement in reference to this being the longest second set since the Wall of Sound. Not saying anyone is wrong, but I wonder about that...??... However, I would bet that it was one of the shortest 1st sets since the Wall of Sound!!

These shows (if I'm not mistaken) were the last you could camp in Autzen's parking lot at a Dead show. Purple Jesus was there for all to enjoy the whole weekend. The second set was a scorcher literally and figuratively. The Scarlet/ Fire had me spinnin' around the back of the infield for a while. It was so hot and I was passing around a jug of cool water. As the set progressed you could tell the band was enjoying it and it was gonna be a special show. I ended up in the Phil Zone grinnin' ear to ear. The download is pretty good. Very worth having.

Did this whole summer tour with my friend Joel. This was In my opinion the best Other One of the tour if not the year. Phils bass is still bouncin around my body from this tour! he seemed to be having alot of fun at these shows. (although this recording sounds like it was recorded in the new haven coliseum or something.) YO YO GRATEFUL DEAD!

I've always liked this version of Dark Star...Jerry gets the lyrics and his voice is bathed in reverb...Lesh sounds thick and drives the jam...Jerry has some nice distortion leads...this version is notable for it's feedback fade-out ending...this makes a great filler...the rest of the show is up and down...

Longest second set since the Wall of Sound, some guy told me. I was wandering around the floor looking for a place to groove undisturbed whilst actually being able to see the band. Some guy asked if I was in need of geinful employment, I said sure, he put me at the edge of the red tape I had ignored and stepped over and told me not to let anyone by. I took my duties very seriously, and gave some tripped out gal the impression that I was either a spy, or undercover security, or something, told her she could stay right there, but I was watching her, so be careful. I guess it was a bunch of volunteers cennected to the band that ran a semi-formal medical whoseewhatsit, and I talked down a couple bad trippers. Paying my debt for ignoring their space. Lots of fun, really good Other One.
